It's all about balance...

Sunday, April 14, 2013

Dear World,

I just wanted you to know that after not taking a single actual studio dance class in about 3 years, I can still do this ^ (!!!)!
These last few weeks have taught me so much about patience, delayed gratification, and just how strong the heart can be in the face of great difficulty.  It's all about balance.  Find what makes you happy, and do it.

Happy Monday Morning Motivation!

    1. I just styled the outfit for this shoot, but I think once it warms up, I'm going to wear it out! Funny because I made the skirt for a Ren Faire costume!

    1. I really couldn't either... I was late going onto point, and I stopped it much sooner than my peers. They are still fun to pull out and twirl around in, though!

    1. I grew up in a semi-professional company, but once I hit high school, I developed arthritis and dislocated my knee. The last time I took a ballet class (about 3 years ago), I dislocated the same knee again, so I've been taking it easy!

    1. Thanks! I made it as part of a Ren Faire costume! I think I'm actually going to wear it as a normal part of my wardrobe this season, though!

  8. This is stunning! I really want to see a lot more of outfit posts with a dance move, I think a dance/fashion blog would be amazing visually. Plus the little tidbits of wisdom are refreshing.

    1. You think I should do more? I posted another dance shoot a couple of weeks ago. If you really REALLY like them, I suppose I can add some more in... perhaps on a beach... mmmmm...

    1. I was shocked when I saw how this first shot turned out! Partly because I work with a camera/tripod/timer, but also because I had no clue I could still bend in quite this way!
