Chillin' on the East side...

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Fa-reezing.  Srsly.  Here are some snaps from our weekend trip to Berlin!  It was a bit of a last minute decision to go (as usual), so planning didn't really happen (as usual), and checking the weather to coordinate layers with packing definitely didn't happen (as usual), so it was a very random and chilly weekend!

These photos are from the East Gallery, a section of the Berlin Wall that is still standing and has been painted over by artists from around the world!  Pretty cool (pun intended?) way to put a positive spin on terrorism, huh?

Ok… now give me back my coat!

    1. Thank you, thank you! I do like the way the wall, which formerly represented terrorism and fear has turned into a memorial… a reminder of a time that has passed, but in a way that is happy or at least not the symbol of fear and power that it once was.

  9. Wow! Your outfit is a super good mix to pair with the Berlin Wall as background! The leopard and (I'm guessing lace) textile of the skirt adds femininity to the look but, hey! That Jack tee grabs the win! Cool and edgy just like the tagged wall. Nice!

    1. Thank you! I do always like to pair the Jack tee up with something a bit softer! I love that it has the ability to swing anything in the general direction of "rocker chic" without trying too hard!

  19. How cool! Would love to visit the Berlin and heard so much about the art up on the wall. And goorl, I feel you on the chilly factor... actually I think we both feel each other's pains lol. I'm doing more inspiration collages instead of #ootd's just because it's so cold ahahaha! Regardless, chill or no chill you look edgy in this look and I love that!
