Howdy, ya'll! Guess what! Tomorrow is my birthday! I cannot believe that I am entering the last year of my 20s (and I'm still not married... don't have kids... don't even have a job with a salary... but i have been to 43 countries)!
I had wanted to give ya'll an insane #freebiefriday last week in anticipation of my big day, but life is a bit hectic as I am preparing to go back to the states for knee surgery, am getting ready to move back to the states, and have been on a crazy craft fair kick.
Anyway, since birthdays are all about gifts, I was hoping that ya'll would do me a bit of a favor! I don't know if you've noticed, but lately, I've been on something of an eco/fair trade kick. I have been all about finding "green" fashion and so, when I was contacted by Swiss company Baabuk, I just had to work with them. They sent me some amazing sneakers, called Urban Woolers. They're made out of wool! How cool is that? I wore mine several times on a recent trip to Scotland (photos are coming soon!) and was insanely impressed with 1) the fact that they can be worn without socks, 2) how incredibly comfortable they are and 3) how warm these shoes are!
However, the Urban Wooler project is just in it's early stages. They've set up a Kickstarter project to raise funds to make these sneakers the next big thing! I'd love if for my birthday, you'd consider shooting them a few $$. Depending on your donation, a pair of Urban Woolers could be sent your way!
I also need to take this opportunity to chat about my tee. This one came from a company called, Qtee. It's a company with the coolest, friendliest user interface ever. They stock gazillions of different shirt patterns and allow you to completely customize the colours! After much messing around on the site, I decided on the original of this particular tee, as it's in keeping with my current eco vibe, but I cannot even tell you how long I spent/how much fun I had tweaking my shirt design!
Hat made by me (for sale for $20... please comment below if you'd like to purchase it!)

ReplyDeleteHappy early birthday, Signe! Hope you're able to close out those 20s with a bang this last year! I'll be entering that territory in 2016, and all I can say is I haven't visited 43 countries and may not in my lifetime. So that's a huge accomplishment in my eyes. :)

Having visited 43 countries is something of a true achievement! I've only visited 5, and there are so many more I want to see! Love the woollen shoes - great idea! Can't wait to see the Scotland pics. xxx

I will agree with your reader's comment above -- having visited 43 countries is quite something. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the other things that haven't happened yet, they will happen when the time is right.
