Since I was a child, I've been a notorious overdresser/crazy dresser. I was the 5-year old holding on to the shopping cart, dressed in a swirling teal Native American dress handed down by my aunt, giant yellow plastic dress up glasses, and my mum's old slippers. I was the kid zipping up and down the street on my bike with an old scarf tied around my head and a number of blankets and other scarves tied around me in something that most closely resembles a toga. In stores, I gravitated to the cheapest looking sparkly garments and even now when I shop, it is the flowiest, brightest, most intricately patterned or embroidered garments that catch my eye.
And this is why the facts that 1) I put this particular outfit together and 2) That I seriously loved this outfit really come as a shock. If this isn't a the-week-is-only-halfway-over-and-gosh-I'm-ready-for-the-weekend-Wednesday (I am so happy I can wear jeans to work this week) outfit, than I don't know what is! It is simple. It is blue. It is comfy. It totally worked. And I may need to start dressing like this a bit more often...
Looks so gorgeous and sunny!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty cold and dreary in London today :(

I think this is a bit deceiving! It was absolutely freezing, but the sun definitely helped!
DeleteYou know what they say... less is more. I personally love the outfit, but then I'm totally into simplicity. xoxoxo
