One of the things that I love most in this life is making new discoveries. This holds true for people, places, and things. I get this seriously innate joy when I stumble onto a place I've never been before and to some extent, the same sentiment is echoed when I find pretty little things. That being said, this week for #SustainableSunday, I am everso pleased to introduce Greater Things.
This lovely new company, launched in June, is all about connecting the good people of the earth with products that have been consciously made by people who are treated well, paid fairly, and are re-making their lives. This is a mission that I can always get behind!
I am pleased to say that I have now ditched my factory-made designer wallet and traded it in for the Debre wallet. A stunning piece that was handmade in Ethiopia. It is buttery soft, smells amazing, and is super functional. At this point, I'm using it as a wallet and am able to store all of my IDs, bank cards, gift cards, coupons, cash, some bandaids and a few extra hair ties, but it will also accommodate my passport and has a handy little pen slot! I also love that it can be used as a clutch, which I'll probably have to try the next time I find myself at the theatre!
I don't know that I've ever really been proud to take my wallet out at a restaurant or checkout counter, but in the week that I've been using my Debra, I've felt a little glimmer of goodness every time I take it out of my bag.
I highly encourage all of y'all to hop over to Greater Things and see their whole range! In addition to my Debre wallet, they have handbags, scarves, notebooks, jewelry, and other goodies... all of which would make wonderful gifts!
Love.
