That one time the baby slept through his entire first educational field trip...

Ok, so... throughout my pregnancy, I received a ton of advice from just about everyone.  It seemed like anyone who had had a child at any point in time needed to give input on how SunStars and I should raise our child.  That advice ranged from telling me to stay home and literally not leave for a month to taking the baby out on an excursion the day after he was born.

Suffice it to say that we are taking things as they come and doing what feels right.

It's been a balance of staying home for a few days to recharge and try to create something of a schedule to going out on little adventures.  Today, we took Stellan to the Butterfly Pavilion, which is where SunStars and I got engaged.  It was nice and humid, which was kind of wonderful, since it's been dry and a bit chilly in the mountains.  Even though Stellan slept through our entire adventure, only waking up once we were back in the cold parking lot, it was fun to carry him around the makeshift rainforest.  It was also our first time using our fancy second-hand City Jogger stroller and we loved seeing butterflies land on it while Stellan was a passenger.

Maybe next time we visit the butterflies, the baby will open his eyes a few times and at least get to take in a tiny bit of the beautiful plants and the flutters winging by!
