(Pumpkin) muffin (tops)…

Monday, July 20, 2015

The day starts out super cloudy in in the mid 60s (Farenheit).  You get dressed, loving the tinge of fall in the air (is it too soon to start hash-browning PSL?).  You eat breakfast, pack up, and head out to your car to head to work.

Suddenly, your neighbor calls out a friendly "Good morning," before exclaiming, "Are you nuts?  You're wearing booties and a scarf?  Did you even look at the weather for today?"

You shake your head, upset (your pre-fall outfit was so cute), and pull out your phone to check the weather.  As it loads, your eyes practically bulge out of your head.  It's going to get up to 95 degrees today? And there is no air conditioning at work, which is where I'll be busily teaching Zumba to children and working up one heck of a sweat.

You wave your neighbor off as you sprint back inside, shedding layers the whole way up the stairs.  What you'll really need today is ventilation.  A skirt and crop top does it.  Even if it does let your tiny muffin top hang out a bit (see the last photo… it's there… must opt for more Zumba and less schnitzel).

  3. Pre-fall? It's still July! Just enjoy the summer, the crop tops, and I don't think you've got any muffin top to worry about.

  6. You look great! This OOTD is so cheery and fun; it really reflects the sudden hike in temperature! Also, I love how the tribal accessories, henna tattoo, and leopard print shoes give the outfit a more laid-back vibe. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thank you! I really like the way this came together. I wasn't initially planning on pairing the slip on shoes with this, but it totally worked.
