#SustainableSunday with Synergy Organic...

Sunday, January 14, 2018

Synergy Organic has, hands down, got to be one of my favourite organic brands to work with.  Why? Well, aside from the fact that their clothing is absolutely adorable, everything is ethically made from organic and/or eco-friendly fibers.  For Synergy, organic cotton, recycled polyester (from plastic bottles), and low-impact dyes are what it's all about!  Their clothing is all handmade in Nepal, where seamstresses and their male counterparts (seamsters?) are paid a fair living wage, which helps them to rise above the poverty line.  Synergy is incredibly transparent about how and where their products are created, and as a consumer, that makes me feel good about the things I choose to wear.

That brings me back to their lookbook.  Their current collection is full of gorgeous neutral, earth-toned fabrics.  The pieces are basic, but with fun twists like this circle top that add interest.  This makes their pieces easy to wear alone or as layers and that means that they are super versatile!

What's sustainable about this outfit?

: the sweater was thrifted
: the top is made from organic cotton and low-impact dyes
: the bracelets were made from re-purposed fibers
: the wood ring is eco-friendly and handmade
: the gold ring is handmade and fair trade
