The thing about Europe is... unreliable internet is EVERYWHERE! I've been trying to get on for days! In any case... here are some snaps from our drive from Dijon to Lyon. It was pretty bloody miserable, save for the epic fields of sunflowers (my favourite fleur) that lined the roads and still managed to look happy despite the total deluge!
We are making this road trip sans GPS and are trying to preserve gas while avoiding tolls (the tolls here are OMG... no other way to describe them!). By some miracle, we made the entire drive without a single toll, but Lyon was still dark and miserable. We climbed all the way up the crazy hill in search of the Roman ruins (which we DID find just as we were getting ready to give up) and sought refuge in the Cathedrals Saint John-Baptiste and wandered our way back to our hotel to rest before hitting the road in the morning! I also discovered that "Your Mom" jokes translate into French (see graffiti photo below).
... outfit posts to come... I looked like a drowned rat for pretty much this entire day...

Hehe I can say - get used to the weather! It's pretty much rain vs sun every single day, you can wake up with a beautiful sunny weather and in a few hours it changes 0.o But the photos are nice!

Oooooooh, I know! I lived in Paris a few years ago and always carried an umbrella with me. I learned my lesson then, which is great because I was prepared for the rain here in Lyon!
DeleteWhat awesome murals you came across! And it's also pretty funny someone crossed out the "and you" part and put "your mom" hahahaha.

It was so silly. I started laughing and got made fun of because I was the only one in the group that speaks French and got it.
