Coasting along the coast...

Today, we were total idiots!  We arrived in Genoa and promptly fell asleep after a long search for our hotel (it was a small hotel on the third floor of a large building, but the address was 21/6... WTF does that mean?).  Once we I awoke from an extended siesta, in which I managed to get red lipstick all over my white pillow case (faux pas, non?) we ended up going on a 10 km walk.  I kid you not.  I mean, it was totally worth it because our hotel was in the shopping district of town and we wanted to see the water and the beachy part of town, but once you've walked the 5 km to get there, you kind of forget that you've got to walk back! 

Luckily, about halfway back, we encountered a bassist and a few guitarists having a jam session in the back of their car, so we were able to sit and enjoy the music for a spell before clambering back onto our weary legs and trudging our way back into the city.

    I'm obsessed with your sandals & necklace!! I've been on the search for a good pair of work appropriate sandals (my office is super laid back -- we're an LA-based company) so I'll definitely have to make a stop at Charlotte Russe this weekend!

      Seriously... I'm hooked on shoes from Charlotte. I worked in a number of CR/Rampage stores through undergrad and just after and I STILL can't stop buying their shoes! They are great, trendy, and inexpensive, and many of them hold up really well (like, table dancing at 4 AM well)!

      Haha... I sometimes chalk my hair... I had blue extensions in, but they keep falling out, so I'm thinking of chalking my hair purple sometime within the next few days!
