The sea of twirly, swirly gumdrops…

Monday, November 24, 2014

… srsly, ya'll… it's not even December and I've already binged on "Elf," "The Santa Clause," AND "Polar Express" in ONE NIGHT!

Fall is my favourite.  What is going on?  Where is all this Christmas cheer coming from?  Actually, I'm angry that our mall has had decorated Christmas trees up since before Halloween and our neighbors just put up lights yesterday.  Where has all this Christmas bi-polarity come from?

… any of ya'll feeling this?

In any case, I <3 these crunchy leaves and my snazzy fall outfit, though I'm glad I wore this body con dress on a regular day and not on Thanksgiving.  It would definitely do an epic job of showing off a food baby!

  4. I love Christmas. I love the music, the movies, the cheer, the festivities, BUT I do like to celebrate one holiday at a time. It was the same here this year. The tree was up right after Halloween and Santa made his arrival at the mall the first week of November. People have had their decorations up for weeks now and there are trees already in windows. I NEED to have my Turkey Day first. It's my kick off to the season. On another note, I adore your dress and necklace! :)

    1. Thanks, love! Uggggh, I mean, I get that Santa needs his paycheck and starting early in November helps with that, but where's his giant belly going to come from? Turkey! Am I right?

  5. You look so lovely however have to sadly look down and admit, I'm no big Christmas fan, I like the family-get-together idea but that's as far as it stretches.

    1. We are opposite in that, then. I can definitely live without the family get-togethers (these always end in some sort of catastrophe in my house), but there's something about cuddling up with a cup of cocoa and watching Christmas classics that really works for me!

  6. So torn! If I'm home next fall, we'll have a pre-Thanksgiving Christmas movie marathon, complete with cupcake ATM run!
