Underground fashion= boyfriend style...

Monday, October 7, 2013

You know what is cool?  Running around, unsupervised in a cave!  And since it is SO cool, wearing layers and layers of your boyfriend's clothes definitely heats things up... or at least keeps a gal warm!  I just wish I could have captured the look on his face when I walked out of my boudoir and he realized that 60% of what I had on was his!

The raid on Soldier Boy's closet was for our trip to Homburg Cave.  The caves were pretty nifty!  They are carved out of sand and were first dug out in the 12th century, forgotten by the 14th century and rediscovered in the 1930s by a few crazy kiddos who were playing in the woods.  The caves then became THE party spot for Homburg and also served as a bunker for about 5,000 people during WWII.  They were used for readings of Harry Potter in the early 2000s, but after someone set off fireworks during a reading and collapsed part of the ceiling, they have been taken over by the German government and are under pretty strict regulation (aka, we had to wear hard hats, but were allowed to run around wheverever we wanted... go figure...).

After the caves, we attempted to geocache around Homburg a bit and had the BEST käsespätzle I've ever had the pleasure of ingesting.

... I kinda like stealing clothes from Soldier Boy...  they are fun to accessorize around...

  3. Stealing clothes of other males of my house has become quite a habbit. Isn't it just wonderful to cuddle in an enormous sweater or baggy pair of jeans?

  15. The caves look amazing! Europe is filled with quirky and beautiful places. I also miss going to a specific street to go shopping. I much prefer doing that than going to a mall.

    1. Oh yeah! When I lived in Paris, my school was at the end of a market street, so I got to walk through the veggies, fruits, cheeses, meats, and breads before class every day!

  18. I can only imagine what it would have been like to read HP in the caves by candlelight! They did it up to about 2004... bummer... I'm a decade late!
