Do you ever stand in front of your closet and feel that no matter how many garments are hanging there, you've just got nothing to wear?  Yeah, I do it all the time!

Never fear!  I've managed to hit on the most ingenious styling tip EVER!  It is so ridiculous/easy/silly/awesome, you'll be shocked that you didn't think of it first.  Ready for it?

Ok… here it is:  Wear your clothes backwards!

I was thinking last week about how to avoid wearing maternity clothes.  No, I am not expecting, nor do I plan to be any time soon, but as the uber money conscious gal that I am, I was trying to come up with ways to not need maternity clothing and it dawned on me: if you have tons of hi-low tops or dresses, wear them backwards when you have a bump and, theoretically, the hem lines should even out all the way around.

Well… this little stroke of genius helped me out today.  I really wanted to wear my snazzy new necklace from E T C H Studio, and since it is so super cool, I thought that a monochrome or close to monochrome outfit would be the perfect way to show it off… but the black shirt I'd planned on wearing was in the wash, so I was back to square one until the clouds parted and I realized that this bejeweled Deb tee would be the perfect backdrop for this necklace… but backwards!

I love this look from the front (esp. with my denim shirt), but the way that the neckline hits in the back! Wahooo!  Ballerina shoulder muscles for days!

What do you think?  Would ya'll like it if I did more style tips?  I kind of fell off that bandwagon!

  7. I had been thinking of doing that, but I'm always worried that it will actually look wrong...well simply just because I'm wearing it wrong, but you have proved me wrong. It looks great, plus your necklace is indeed pretty awesome!

    1. Thank you! Yes, sometimes it feels a bit odd… especially with shirts because of the way the neckline is, but often, you can make it work!
