The colors of the season…

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Bonjour, tout le monde!  Since I have waaaaaaay too many photos of gondolas and I'm terribly afraid that you'll be fed up with them AND the posts that I had set up to auto-post while I was gone didn't work, I'm going to switch between travel snaps and outfit photos!  Hope that's groovy with ya'll!

As you know, if you've been following along for a while, I am obsessed with fall.  Not in the basic sort of way (I don't own Uggs or yoga pants).  I seriously love fall.  My birthday is 13 days before Halloween (it was last Sunday… I'm old now… guess how old in the comments, if you wish), I've been hooked on ghosts for as long as I can remember, and there is just something about the magic of leaves changing colors and flying around the sky that sets my heart soaring.

I've been stockpiling fall clothes since July and still haven't really had a chance to wear them!  Though the leaves are changing, it's been in the upper 60s and 70s… and then I hopped a boat to Greece, where I ended up with an insane sunburn (yes, in the middle of October).  However, because I have no patience and hate to see lovely clothes hanging in the closet and not being worn, I gave some new fall pieces a test drive.  I am absolutely in love with this new jacket!

What are your fave new fall pieces?

  4. Love the parka! I'm on a coat/jacket hunt right now, the cheaper and cuter the better. And $44 isn't bad either... except it sold out #wompwomp. The search continues. Your outfit is very fall and so happy you're not into uggs too.

  6. Great coat and perfect for Germany. It seems that the summer just doesn't want to leave anywhere. We're still having a heatwave here and I am really getting fed up because I want to start wearing my new things. I'm dying to wear my new booties and jackets and everything I've bought for the autumn that I just can't take out of the closet. xoxoxo

  10. Can I guess 25? Quarter century? I envy the autumn leaves, it's all palm trees and sand in my niche of the world. The temps will drop in December, and I'll finally be able to cozy up in a sweater for real. Love the necklace btw! My guy does a lot of shooting & gun restoration, and I like to collect the casings to craft together little pieces like that.
