The golden days of travel…

Ok… so I wasn't actually around for the so-called "Golden Days of Travel" (or whatever they were called), but we watched Casablanca the other night and somehow, that sent me on a downward spiral, right into a Google image search wormhole for photos and movie clips about airplane travel when it was the super cool new and chic thing to do. 

Talk about the leg room… and the free drinks… and the fancy outfits for plane travel! 

These snaps were taken from the airport prior to boarding the plane home and I really don't think it matters how many fur vests, pairs of fancy boots, or lovely floral blouses I'm able to layer on… I look exhausted and skeptical about having to pay to carry my carry on (!!!) onto the plane, bullpen myself into a line to charge the plane to an unassigned seat, into which I will be crammed for (thankfully) the next hour or so.  

Once again, I'm positive that I was born in the wrong century.

    I still try to look my best when I go to airports, I know it's silly but you never know when Jamie Dornan or any other hottie might appear haha I do like your outfit though!

      I do like to get dressed up! I mean, I've never seen a celeb at an airport, but I suppose it could happen… though probably not on the budget airlines I've been flying lately!
