The newest festival fashion trend…

Wednesday, July 15, 2015

It's festival season in Germany!  Woo too!  Since I have yet to make it to Coachella and festival season over here isn't really like fest season in the states, I'm bending the rules and wearing my favourite boho outfits to our food and drink fests.

I'm also trying to start a new festival fashion trend: super high tech knee braces.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone sport one of these gadgets in any festival fashion photos anywhere, but I've got a giant one that I have to wear basically any time that I'm not laying in bed or sitting on the couch, so I'm really hoping to make this trend catch on.

Unfortunately, for this trend, I managed to cover the brace up in just about all of these snaps.  I'll have to do a better job of showing it off in the next batch or no one else will ever see how cool it is, want to try it, invent a hash brown (te he… #) for it, etc.  But for real… I was super proud of my jewelry with this outfit.  My new ring from Zenned Out was kind of the crowning jewel.

Anyway, here are a few snaps from a recent local festival.  It was like the German equivalent of a state fair.  I don't think I'll ever really get used to seeing a ferris wheel in the same place as tanks and camouflaged hum-vees, but I guess that's just the way it's done over here!

  3. Add kimono to my want-to-borrow list. In other news, a spider as taken up camp next to my little sitting area outside, and I've been sending him mental please-leave-me-alone vibes. I swear his web is smaller today.

    1. I'll share! You must keep me posted on the saga of the spider! I bug whispered a wasp out of the living room about an hour ago. My boyfriend is pretty impressed with my newfound skill!

    1. Right? Someone needs to start making Aztec print knee braces with little hooks to attach feathers or dreamcatchers or something! Surprisingly, the knee is finally starting to feel much better. I can almost walk like a normal person again!

    1. Thanks! It was a day of many hair styles, as my hair firmly refused to stay tucked into my headband the way I was hoping it would!

  6. Great earrings! A kimono is a fun choice for a festival, and it's a great playful piece to add to your outfit.

    1. Thank you so much! My daddy sent me the earrings from a little shop in the middle of the Anza-Borrego Desert. I've also kind of developed an obsession with kimonos. I think I just ordered 3 new ones (I lost count)!
