A little bit of contrast…

Monday, August 3, 2015

Last weekend, we got a bit adventurous (we've kind of been living under a rock as we're saving for one last big European hurrah before moving) and went to a food truck festival with some friends (who we traveled to Budapest with a few months ago and spent the whole weekend eating at food trucks with… there's a pattern here…).  Now, one of these friends had been to a food truck festival in another town a few months ago and said that it was the greatest thing ever, so we had high hopes…

… but when we got there, it was just a parking lot with about 4 food trucks and 10 food stands.  Don't get me wrong.  We shared sweet potato fries, fruit sodas, and bacon-wrapped burgers, but then quickly consulted the internets and found another food truck festival about an hour and a half in the opposite direction from which we'd originally come.  After a quick pit stop in the run down Rotes Kreuz building featured in these photos (I LOOOOOVE the contrast between the doors and my fancy new dress), we hopped into the car and headed to Saarbrucken for their fest!  It definitely had more to offer, but I was too busy eating and drinking to take any photos (can you believe it?), so this is all I have for you today!
