Pumpkin spice and a wrist full of travels...

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

I mentioned yesterday that I'm working on a new format here.  I'd like to call this my first installment of #WhatIWoreWednesday!

As I think most of us in the Northern hemisphere are aware, it's officially autumn (weeeeeee)!  That means that the leaves are a' changin,' apples are being picked and #PSL is all the rage.  I actually had a PSL a few weeks ago (yes, our Starbucks actually had the pumpkin syrup) and just like last year, it was gross.  But I'm going to be super basic and admit that I still love the hype.

And even though I wasn't thrilled in the pumpkin spice coffee department, I'm kind of flipping out over this pumpkin coloured sweater.  I actually thought it was burgundy when I ordered it, but the brilliant burnt orange is even better!  It matches perfectly with the Baltic amber bracelet that I picked up in Estonia (which also compliments the bracelet of a Runic moon etched into a reindeer antler that I picked up in Finland... and by default my evil eye bracelet from Athens and the friendship bracelet that was tied onto my wrist by a Nigerian in Milan over 3 years ago).  Clearly, this sweater was the perfect canvas for showing off my collection of travel bracelets... and the mosaic ring I got in Salzburg...

And since I'm on the topic of accessories, a little agate slice/floppy hat action pretty much makes this outfit a new fall staple.  Now... to pick up this sweater in every other available colour...

  8. Love the sweater! I never thought it would be called pumpkin coloured, but I love it! Makes a change to just plain "orange" and October is fast approaching so perfect for Halloween! x

    1. It is a bit darker than pumpkin, isn't it? But, if Crayola says it's a colour, I guess it's a colour!

  9. Definitely a perfect autumnal shade! I love the subtle detailing on the sweater. I would love it in a plum/berry shade! I'm so happy that autumn is finally here - I love knitwear and have already bought a lovely new sweater! I love that you've collected jewellery pieces on your travels; I have a lovely turquoise stone heart pendant I purchased at a little market stall in Norway. I desperately want to go back there - it is absolutely stunning. xxx

    1. I definitely thought that this was more of a berry colour! I just found a similar sweater from a different shop in a really lovely shade of cornflower blue! Can't wait to bundle up in it!
