Bigfoot in the desert...

Monday, February 5, 2018

Steps to a more sustainable lifestyle can be big, like swapping the energy in your home to solar, or small, like deciding to replace your scratched up, broken plastic sunglasses with sunnies that are made from wood.  Both big and little steps can cause chain reactions that eventually snowball into wonderful change!

For this reason, I was very happy to team up with Bigfoot Wood Designs and give their polarized Carmen sunglasses a test drive.  They are lightweight, rather chic, and because they were made from sustainable materials, I don't feel guilty wearing them the way I've begun to feel when wearing plastic frames.  Also, I know that if the lenses of these sunglasses (Heaven, forbid) end up getting scratched, I know that I can compost these and they'll break down instead of creating more waste the way plastic frames would!

What's sustainable about this outfit?

: the sunglasses are made of sustainable wood
: the tee is made of organic hemp
: the scarf is handmade and fair trade
: the bracelets are handmade and fair trade
