I live in a Nicholas Sparks story...

Saturday, July 20, 2013

What could be better than living in a town with an actual castle?  Spending a sunny Saturday afternoon with your lover at said castle, bien sur!  This is where Trip took me on my very first day in Germany on my very first vacation to Germany and I kind of feel like I've come full circle.  I still can't quite get my head around the fact that I live here... and that after 20+ years, I'm living with Soldier Boy... and that I've pretty much abandoned all hope of having a career and am probably going to start a business and write another novel.

Really... I'm starting to feel like I live in a Nicholas Sparks story...

  8. I love ruins of all kinds, from all parts of the world. Castles are so incredibly beautiful. History comes alive in them! You can easily picture Dark Age or Middle Age or Renaissance maidens in them (depending on the castle), and the kinds of clothing they may have been wearing (depending on the time and region), the kinds of activities everyone might have been engaging in. I think of the cooks, the kids, the animals, the hunters, the soldiers, the nobility. I just love castles; I haven't seen enough of them. I'd love to take a castle-focused road trip through Europe. Boy would that be fun.

Your new life sounds like a dream come true. Sounds so picturesque and relaxing. I'm very happy that you're living in a Nicholas Sparks novel. You look beautiful here, and I love your cute skirt and wedges. So cute and comfy for the summer. :)
