Cheetah and Chucks forever...

Sunday, September 1, 2013

I crossed Abbey Road (5 times and somehow the best photo got deleted), but MOAR importantly, LOOK!  My hair cooperated with me for the first hour I was awake... but then I wandered to the South Bank and took a ride on the Eye and let me tell 'ya, crossing the Millennium Bridge with not-quite-grown-out bangs and an un-hairsprayed wannabe pouf is no picnic.  By the time I made it to Abbey Road, my beautiful coiffure was flat and boring.  I just wanted to show you proof that my hair sometimes actually does what I want it to do... et voila!

Also, apparently I have some sort of Beatles addiction that I wasn't actually aware of.  I'd almost forgotten that I wanted to see Abbey Road while I was in London, but once I got to the Abbey Road Studios and saw the tiny little graffiti wall, I was reminded of my epic adventure to the John Lennon wall in Prague last winter!  IMAGINE that!

... and now I need to download/watch "Across the Universe" cos jumping on the bed and blasting the soundtrack just isn't quite doing it for me... maybe if I had glitter to throw around...

  2. You are not alone in your Beatles obsession, i'm also completely obsessed and am not-so-secretly immensely jealous of all your Beatles memorabilia adventures! I just saw Let It Be on Broadway and would HIGHLY recommend it if you're a fan. PS your hair is total ladylike, not boring at all!

    1. Oooooooh, fabulous! I guess I didn't realize how obsessed I was until it dawned on me that I keep visiting all of these Beatles-related places! And my hair... well... it started out lovely, but then took a turn for the worse... you should have seen it at the end of the day! After Abbey Road, we went to the Sherlock Holmes Museum and then I had to fly home. By midnight, I looked a hot mess!

  6. AMAZING! I hope you can say you visited strawberry fields in Central Park to add to that Beatlemania list. That graffiti looks epic and filled with history. So happy you got to experience that Beatles love.

    1. I absolutely did! I used to live in NYC, so that was one of those easy things to cross off the list, but it was in the P.B. (pre-blogging) years, so I don't have photographic evidence. Funny thing about the graffiti is that they paint over it every few months!

  7. Love the street art! Also loving the contrast between the cheetah + pearls and the chucks. I can't get enough of cheetah lately...

    1. I've been obsessed with cheetah/leopard for about a year or so now! I'm glad that it is one of those prints that comes in and just kind of stays in for a while! I wanted to wear something fancy but without heels, so Chucks tend to be my go-to for those sorts of looks!
