Picture this: I'm at the market trying to find a new snack. I don't want junk food. I'm truly on the hunt for something convenient that is also real. With this thought in mind, I head to the protein/snack bar aisle. There are about one million options and, while I quickly ruled out about half of them, I was still left with an overwhelming number of choices. That led me to look beyond the brand names that I was used to seeing and Thunderbird Bars were the ones that jumped out at me. I did a bit of research and discovered that all of their bars are made from, well... real food: fruits, nuts, seeds, and spices.
Since the sheer number of options they have within their line was a bit overwhelming, I reached out to them and was thrilled when they offered to send me a sample pack to try out. They included 10 of their most popular flavors and from there, SunStars and I kind of went to town sampling them. Our favorite: Texas Maple Pecan! And if you're on any sort of special diet, they should fit the bill. All of the bars in the Thunderbird range are vegan, Paleo, gluten free, and non-GMO!
These bars are kind of perfect for tossing in a lunch bag and having as a snack at work, getting an afternoon pick-up, and while we haven't taken them on a hike yet, I think they would be an ideal snack for a day on the trails.
