The day I inadvertently became an ice princess…

Monday, October 27, 2014

Well, tout le monde… it's finally happened.  The unfortunate pixie cut of 2011 has completely grown out and I can actually style my hair.  Because I am recovering (oh, please, right?) from vacation AND because our shower only has one temperature (lukewarm) and the heat hasn't kicked on just yet, I opted not to take a shower after work the other night.  That meant that I had to get up early to shower in the morning and invariably became distracted by emails and coffee and packing lunch and forgot to dry my hair.

Since it is flu season, I really didn't want to go out with wet hair, so I put it into a quick low side braid and topped it off with a hat that I crocheted last week and thought nothing more of it.  However, upon walking in to work, a 3-year old pointed at me and, with wide eyes, said "Mommy… it's ELSA!!!"

I thought it was pretty cute and moved on with my day, but by the time I got home in the evening, no less than 8 different children had told me or whispered under their breaths to their parents that I looked like the ice queen in the flesh!

… guess I know what I'm going to be for Halloween!

Today's makeup was applied using this wonderful brush set , which I'm not entirely sure how I lived without. I am also wearing coral lipstick from Born Pretty!
